Suspect Arrested After Attempted Bank Robbery In Ashland

ASHLAND, OH - An attempted robbery occurred at a Huntington Bank located on East Main Street in Ashland on Tuesday. 

A 59-year-old Ashland man entered the bank and presented a bank employee with a note demanding money. The employee complied, and the man took off on foot.

Two nearby customers who witnessed what happened followed the man out of the bank and confronted him. They kept him subdued until Ashland Police arrived.

The man was transported to University Hospital's emergency room by the Ashland Fire Department for a psych evaluation.
